I was born and raised in southern California. I studied fine art at Brigham Young University (BFA) in Provo‚ Utah
and at Art Center College of Design (MFA) in Pasadena‚ California. I have taught at Pai Chai University and at
Hanbat National University in South Korea and currently teach at Citrus and Chaffey colleges in California.

My portraits of marginalized landscapes and architecture are attempts to memorialize the overlooked and locate
the sublime in everyday experience. Contrast figures prominently in my work. Explication and suggestion,
objectivity and subjectivity, intuition and counter-intuition are themes I continue to explore.
