Biography

I was born and raised in southern California. I attended Brigham Young University (BFA), Art Center College of Design (MFA)
and Cal Poly Pomona (California Teaching Credential). I have taught at Pai Chai University and Hanbat National University
in South Korea. I currently teach at Citrus and Chaffey colleges in California.

My paintings of landscapes and architecture depict scenes from the margins of my everyday experiences. Through the process
of painting I create new spaces that combine the real, the imagined and the misremembered. My abstract work is about finding
unity within disparate shapes and colors. In both bodies of work I attempt to create pictorial balance.
